BIFC is a not-for-profit club, registered in Basel. With our players drawn from local Swiss and international schools in and around Basel, BIFC actively promotes integration of children within the Basel community. BIFC's home grounds are located in Reinach BL, at Erlenhof and at the International School Basel Reinacherhof.
Established in 2016, BIFC has been a member of the FVNWS (Football Association of North-West Switzerland) since 2017, when it comprised 1 'G' team, 1 'F' team, and 1 'E' team.
In only 18 months, BIFC has grown rapidly, and now has 7 teams: 1 'G', 2 'F', 3 'E' and 1 FF15 girls' team; the latter is one of only 12 FF15 teams amongst the more than 100 clubs in FVNWS.
BIFC puts great emphasis on the development of football skills, and the achievement of goals through teamwork and hard efforts. BIFC depends on the support of parents to coach its teams with training typically conducted in English although most coaches can also communicate in German and other languages.
